Part #3 Jill's Dream? Joyful226

Jill Rollin’s had tried to read more of the book on Maggie and the Captain John Maplewood. Yet she remained troubled by the description of the property and the house she was living in. She had decided it would be in her best interest and to put her mind at ease if she would go to the Register of Deed’s and see what she could find. She resolved in her mind that she would do this the following day. Thus she finished her coffee and headed for bed. There was a bad storm in the night the lightening flashed the thunder clapped so loudly it awakened her. She thought she heard a piano playing in the music room. Strange she thought. Thus she went to turn on the lights and the electricity was off! She thought it was a good thing she kept a candle on her bed stand beside her bed. Thus she lit it and went downstairs to see where the music was coming from. As she started to descend the stairs she began to smell the sweet sent of violets and wondered where it was coming from. When she looked into the music room to see who was playing the piano, the music stopped! What she saw she could hardly believe her eyes. It was lady dressed in antique clothing. The lady appeared so very lonely sitting at the piano and leaning over as if ready to cry. Jill thought, “What is going on here?” She looked away then back again and the lady was gone. Then her attention was drawn to the staircase when she looked upstairs there on the landing was a couple also in old-fashioned clothing it looked like their wedding day. When she looked away again then they too were gone. What did it all mean? Yet the sweet sent of violets lingered. Suddenly the bright sun of the morning streamed in on Jill awakening her for the day. She looked by her bedside and saw there was no candle there. Had this all been another dream? It seemed so real. She got up, put on her morning frock, and readied herself to check out the Register of Deeds. This property was getting more and more intriguing. Was the place haunted? Did Maggie and Captain Maplewood have something to tell her? Or what was happening here. She was sure of one thing she was sure she was not going crazy.
