Live In Peace Jeff Conaway ~ 10·05·1950 - 05·27·2011

Jeff Conaway — the actor known for his roles in “Taxi” and ”Grease,” as well as a public struggle with addiciton on the VH1 show “Celebrity Rehab” — has died. “Our beloved client Jeff Conaway passed away at 10:30AM,” tweeted Phil Brock, Conaway’s manager earlier today. “We loved him as a person, respected him as an artist and he will be always remembered.” The actor had been hospitalized in a medically induced coma since May 11, when he was found unconscious. Conaway was battling pneumonia and sepsis. His family reportedly made the decision to have the actor taken off life support. The 60-year-old struggled with drug and alcohol addiction, appearing on 2008’s “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.” Brock said the combination of pain killers Conaway was taking for a back injury made it difficult for the actor to realize the extent of his illness. “Jeff Conaway was a wonderful and decent man, and we will miss him,” John Travolta, who starred with Conaway in “Grease,” said to E! News. “My heartfelt thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this very difficult time.” ************************************************************************************************* At least he will NEVER have to worry about being in pain anymore.
