9-18-2011....I have had a praying Mantis sitting outside on my front porch chair that I sit on .He has been sitting there for 4 days now and prays alot...It is said that they are like a prophet bringing News and Good fortune.....THE Praying Mantis is said to be a symbol of meditation and contemplation. It's a peculiar insect that carries meaning for some, coupled with an urban legend of note. Word has it that sighting a Praying Mantis is a sign of good fortune. While some people attach some value to old wives' tales and urban legends, others regard any form of animal symbolism as fictitious and full of esoteric illusions.
