Stories like Tyler Dasher's really crushes my heart. It is beyond my comprehension as to how a mother can beat her child to death. I'm not here to pass judgement on her (Shelby). That job belongs to God. From what I read about this tragedy, the reason she gave for beating her son to death was because he wouldn't stop crying! I completely understand the frustration of a crying child. My oldest daughter would cry for hours! And yes, I would get very frustrated. But here's the thing, it's okay for a child to cry so long as they're not sick, soiled, or hungry. My daughter wouldn't just cry, she would scream! Well, when I didn't have anyone to help me out with her, I would set her in the crib and walk just outside my door and sit on the steps for about 5 to 10 minutes. I needed that time to calm myself down. We hear all the time how things can easily get out of control when one is very angry. Now I'm going to kind of sidetrack for a moment. A couple of days ago I had heard about the Tyler Dasher story. I had seen it on the Nancy Grace show. However, I didn't catch the name of the child and I wanted to know what the story was all about. All I had to go on was a 13 month old boy. So, I went to my computer and typed in the search engine: "13 month old baby beaten to death". What came up next was VERY frightening! I couldn't believe how many babies have been beaten to death just in this past year in THIS country!!! I was sick to my stomach!! I couldn't help but cry :-(

it sure is terrible how a mother can do this to a innocent child. i hope she rots in jail for ever and never be able to handle an other child again.
