Me -&- My Mama

3~10~2012... (poem written by me) I have a lot to be thankful for/ Oppurtunities, teachers, friends, and family/ I am thankful to have my medications/ I am thankful for everything, beautiful and ugly/ But this year I am giving thanks/ To someone who always saw me through/ The good and even the bad times/ That’s right mom, I’m giving thanks to you/ Dark times have crushed our souls/ And beaten us down/ Depression took away the beauty to life/ Turned our smiles into frowns/ Bipolar took over my mind/ Body, soul, and heart/ Because of my disorder/ Our family was almost torn apart/ You and I are both amazed/ That I am still here/ I know we will still have dark times/ But I have you, I have nothing to fear/ I have a lot to be thankful for/ And I am thankful for all you do/ I love you mom/ I give thanks to you.
