It seems the orange rose has several different meanings. Excitement is one, it is a combination of the Yellow rose and Red rose, it was worked on for years but was not available until the 1950's in 1960 one of the more famous orange roses came out called Tropicana. With the combination of friendship from the yellow and passion from the red it can mean I like you as a friend but wouldn't object to more. OR I like you lets take it to the next level is one version of it. But it could just be used for joy and fun. So the colors that have been developed for us have been the white, Red, Pink, Yellow, Lavender/purple, Orange, brown, and some almost success with Green. All others including most green ones are dyed. The green is more of a white green and often start out as peach colored, The Blue and Black roses have to be dyed. But developers are still working on the green, blue, and black roses.
