To all Mother's Old and New this Mother's Day Greeting Is just for you! HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! Did you know that it wasn't until the 1940's that the color Pink was for Girls? Up until then Pink was for boy's and soft blue was for girls. My Grandma thought that was the best way because Pink was a much more robust color than soft blue was and little boys were more into things,energetic and robust than little girls who were soft and sweet and light blue was a calming soft color. Hum well come to think of it she might be right! Besides which those were the colors when she was little and her children too.. But better not tell the boys, those could be fighting words now. :) ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ P.S. Ladies' Home Journal article in June 1918 said, "The generally accepted rule is pink for the boys, and blue for the girls. The reason is that pink, being a more decided and stronger color, is more suitable for the boy, while blue, which is more delicate and dainty, is prettier for the girl." In In 1927, Time magazine printed a chart showing sex-appropriate colors for girls and boys according to leading U.S. stores it told parents to dress boys in pink, and girls in Blue!♥♥♥♥♥
