hmmm....I would recommend banana fish, its pretty underrated, many people avoid it because they think its yaoi just because there is a gay couple, but it actually isn't romance focused, its mainly an action anime, and it has an amazing story, it was a feels trip! 
in case u did watch banana fish, I recommend monster, which is psychological seinen, who talks about morality and human behavior, an amazing anime as well
