Faith is like this, we have to surrender everything and put our trust on our Messiah, Jesus Christ to save us. We shouldn’t attempt to help our Messiah by doing good deeds, because He does not require it of us to receive salvation (Ephesians 2:8-9), we don't even have to impress Him for He knows everything about us. All we need to do is accept that we are sinners and that we can't save ourselves no matter what we do. Repent form our sins (Acts 3:19) and ask God to save us (Romans 10:9-10), by inviting Jesus into our hearts. After salvation we don't get perfect, we still fall to temptations and sin. However this doesn't mean that God gets mad at us to the point of Him taking back our own salvation. God is Love, Holy and Just, He will not give us something out of love, which we do not deserve and then take it back just because we did something He already knows we're prone to do, because we aren't perfect, which is also the reason why He saved us out of love. Salvation is Eternal (Romans 8:35-39, John 10:27-30) or irrevocable. And this is where my faith is established, upon the truth about God's Word. All we need to be concerned about now after receiving salvation form Jesus Christ, is to grow in spirit and in truth by worshiping God in the spirit and in truth (John 4:24), fulfilling the great commission for his glory and not your own (Matthew 28:18-20). Read and study the Bible as your authoritative guide for living a Christian life (2 Timothy 3:16). And always pray and abide in God. To God be all glory! =)
