It's just me................

About me.....I am a mother to an amazing little girl and a wife to an amazing man.  Alayna was born on June 15, 2005. My daughter was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. 

CF is a life-threatening genetic disease that primarily affects the respiratory and digestive systems. A defective gene causes the body to produce an abnormally thick, sticky mucus that clogs the lungs and leads to life-threatening lung infections. These thick secretions also obstruct the pancreas, preventing digestive enzymes from reaching the intestines to help break down and absorb food. In the 1950s, few children with cystic fibrosis lived to attend elementary school. Today, advances in research and medical treatments have further enhanced and extended life for children and adults with CF. Many people with the disease can now expect to live into their 30s. 

Alayna and my husband Scott are my world! I don't know where I would be without them.
