A Child's Love_I'll Do Anything
The thing that impresses me about America is the way parents obey their children. The real romance in dealing with a 5 year old is that in no time at all you begin to sound like a five year old. My mother had a great deal of trouble with me but, I think she enjoyed it.

A daughter looking at her mother's life is looking at her own, shaping and fitting one life to suit the needs of another. Some have shaped monsters and some have shaped angels. most angels see their mother as a source of art, the tree of creation. Louise Bernikow

The mother-daughter relationship is paradoxical & in a sense tragic. It requires the most intense love on a mother's side yet this very love must help the child grow away from her mother & become independant. Erich Fromm

She told me she thinks I'm a son of a bitch. She also told me she thinks I am a funny son of a bitch. She loves me, but she doesn't like me. She's afraid of me, she's intimidated by me. She respects me but, she doesn't want to become me. We have a perfectly normal mother-daughter relationship. Jane Fonda

The older I become, the more I think about my mother Ingmar Bergman

You never get over being a child, long as you have a mother to go to. Sarah O Jewett

My mother won't admit it but I have always disappointed her. Deep down inside, she'll never forgive herself for giving birth to a daughter who refuses to launder aluminum foil and use it over again. Erma Bombeck

Maybe mom is my alter ego and the woman Im able to be when Im working.

Mary Tyler Moore
