Neptune was captured along with five orcas off the coast of Iceland during the first week of October. On October 4th 1981, the boat "Gudrun" docked with its latest "cargo". All six orcas were immediately sent to Hafnarfjordur Aquarium, where they waited for the move to their new home. Nemo*, Neptune and an unnamed male* were purchased by Clacton Dolphinarium in the United Kingdom and they arrived there shortly after their capture. Both orcas got along well and performed during daily shows. Unfortunately Neptune* died in 1983 leaving young Nemo alone.
