The 40th Wedding anniversary is the Ruby Anniversary the ruby is both show as the broach on the lady and the cross on the wall. as well as the ruby red color of most of the things. the 40th anniversary also has two flowers for the special day. The NASTURTIUM: Means conquest, Patriotism and victory in battle. They are in the ladies hair and found in the flower arrangement. The other is GLADIOLUS: Is a symbol of generosity, sincerity, 'you pierce my heart' strength of character, remembrance, infatuation, splendid beauty, give me a break, I am really sincere, admiration and is also known as the flower of the Gladiators. It is also known as the Sword flower. Shown in the floral arrangement in front and on the end table.There are also several symbolic items in this one. The Bible for a Christian couple who based their long marriage on their Faith it is also red in color, it is under the light which is symbolic of Christ being the light of the world. The three red candles also for the 40th anniversary also represent the Father, Son, And Holy Spirit again the light of the world. In this one I also added a Piano and a Saxophone I made this for some very dear friends and the wife plays the piano beautifully and the husband plays a "mean" saxophone. Together they create amazing music. I put in the young married couple and the hour glass turning over and over suggesting time and memories. The couple themselves are looking at an old photograph and perhaps they are reminiscing about day gone past perhaps even their wedding day. Then the cross on the wall also again with rubies in it and their love of the Lord. The outside shows it is Autumn even October since that is the Wedding Month. Happy Anniversary to my dear friends Pasty and Galen Redden and so many many more.
